At Everton Park Child Care we believe that children have a right to an Education that will lay the foundation for the rest of their lives, delivered through a play-based curriculum in which we provide an environment that is stimulating and challenging and allows children the opportunity to grow, learn and develop at their own pace as confident, competent, inquisitive and resourceful learners now and into the future.

Children’s interests form the basis of our curriculum which is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework. Our Early Childhood Educators and teachers scaffold the children’s learning through enquiry based learning and open-ended questioning, exploration as well as intentional teaching.

Each of our rooms are set up to portray an extension of home. This helps children feel safe and secure and provides them with a sense of belonging, to ensure that they grow and develop to their full potential, particularly during these informative years.

Natural elements are used extensively around the centre, to provide calm yet stimulating environments. We keep our displays simple and uncluttered to prevent over stimulation and make the surroundings more aesthetically pleasing to children and families.

Lighting sets the mood in the rooms with the inclusion of the warm lighting of our lamps along with the brighter lighting overhead when required. Children’s input and feedback are sought and incorporated, which empowers them to have their say and play a part in the decision making of the centre and their own learning journey.
